Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to entries submitted to the International Short Film Festival of Odisha (ISFFO) 2026, organised by the Odisha Film Society. Submitting a film means you accept them.

Who can enter

Entry is open to filmmakers in India and internationally, at any stage of their career. There is no age restriction. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your entry on your behalf.

What we accept

• Running time: up to 40 minutes, including titles and credits.
• Categories: Narrative Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental / Avant-Garde, Student Film, Odia Heritage & Culture.
• Synopsis: between 30 and 200 words.
• Screener: a working online link (YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive). If the film is private, include the password in your synopsis.

Films in any language are welcome. Subtitle rules pending

Entry fee and deadline

The final date of submissions is 5 October 2026. Entry fees are ₹999 for Indian regular entries, ₹399 for Indian students (60% OFF), and FREE (₹0) for international entries. Full details and entry registration are available on the submissions page.

Your rights in your film

You keep full ownership and copyright of your film. Entering ISFFO does not transfer any ownership to us.

By entering, you confirm that you have the right to submit the film and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, including in its music, footage and other material. You remain responsible for clearing those rights.

The specific permissions the festival needs from selected filmmakers — for festival screenings, and for short extracts used in promotion — are still being finalised and will be set out in writing before any film is screened. Screening licence pending

Selection and judging

Entries are reviewed by the ISFFO programming committee and jury. Selection is at their discretion and their decisions are final. We cannot give individual feedback on films that are not selected.

Selected films will be screened during the festival, which runs from 9 August 2026 to the grand gala on 21 October 2026 at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Award categories pending

Withdrawal and disqualification

You may withdraw your entry at any time by writing to us. We may remove an entry that breaches these terms, misrepresents its authorship, or whose screener link stops working before judging is complete — so please keep your link live.

Accuracy of what you tell us

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you submit. If anything is wrong, email us quoting your film title and we will correct it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the festival is finalised. Material changes affecting entries already submitted will be emailed to the address given on the entry.
